Dr Reem Refaat Talhouk
Northumbria University Reem Talhouk is an Assistant Professor in Design and Global Development and co-leader of the Design Feminisms Research Group. Reem’s research focuses on the interplay between technological designs, global development, public health and marginalisation. Reem uses participatory, feminist and decolonial methodologies as a means of exploring societal impact of technologies in relation to social and global justice as well as generating counter-narratives of technologies, proposing alternative technologies and their configurations within socio-technical systems.
